Is there anything much you can buy on Bursa Malaysia in terms of stocks and shares?
Bursa Malaysia feels a bit undersold.
Out of focus.
Malaysia has suffered not just from the covid19 like everybody else, but are arguably a small nation competing for global trade and capital without much headway for the longest time. It does not help that there are plenty of competitors out that who are vying for the same attention from global investors.
In this context, it appears unclear if companies on the Bursa stock exchange should be considered or assessed any differently from companies in say, New York.
If Malaysia has a different culture from other countries, with different laws, does that mean that its management functions differently and that the company is a different animal from what investors may be familiar with in other parts of the world?
It would be interesting to hear from readers and visitors to this website about what their opinions and experiences are about investing in this part of the world.
Having said that, just one book that caught this writer's attention is a simple one, entitled Once Upon a Time in Bursa. This book reveals the unique opportunities, nuances and risk of investing in Bursa along with how retail investors can apply fundamental investing.
Without divulging too much, it points in particular, to the author's views on how he succeeded in Bursa Malaysia investing as well.
We hope you find the book insightful..!
Once Upon a Time in Bursa, by Tradeview, is available through Kinokuniya Bookstore in Kuala Lumpur.
