In the abovementioned book by Charlie Munger, investors are taught to stay within and then subsequently increase their circle of competence. Nobody needs to know everything, as and when they occur. Instead, investors are taught to develop a skepticism, for example, towards the latest passing fads and trends (and therefore to be more patient about investing in the latest technologies).


Avoiding believing and therefore being carried away with the latest growth story, is a crucial temperance to develop as you make your way in the investing journey.
